Our Story

Palace of Magnificent Experiences (P.O.M.E.) is a multi-arts exhibition and retail space with bar services. P.O.M.E. provides a revolutionary business model, providing fair artist contracts of sale and inclusive facilities for artists and patrons to create, exhibit, experience and purchase art.

An art deco meets Twin Peaks space in the heart of Richmond, P.O.M.E. is connected via dedicated 24/7 streaming channels to all of Australia and internationally. Think your favourite record or bookstore together with in-store performances, screenings, exhibitions, fashion parades, book readings and Q&A sessions with artists who have artworks and workshops for sale. P.O.M.E. is a launching pad for all art forms, both in the Richmond gallery space and via the 24/7 online arts channel. Patrons can also experience international festivals, galleries, theatres and cinemas from within the physical gallery space and online.

The retail aspect of P.O.M.E. showcases unique artisans and collaborations with P.O.M.E artists. The handpicked artisans are innovative and underrepresented masters of their craft, including a selected range of alcohol products.

All experiences are paired with the unique Q&A sessions from the artists on display – all explaining the history, meanings and unique processes the artists go through to make their artworks. These intimate artist experiences enable patrons an exclusive insight into the creative process, hoping to provide a rich and educational experience for the patrons and a growing fanbase for the artist.

P.O.M.E. will encourage people to come in and share an experience, not limited to art for sale and bar services, but a unique glimpse into the arts industry at large.

P.O.M.E. acknowledges and pays respect to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, the traditional custodians of the land in which P.O.M.E. is built and operates. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.
