Dawn Ho is a consummate jazz and bossa nova vocalist with almost two decades of international performance experience, having performed in music festivals, events, and jazz venues around the world. Her warm vocal timbre coupled with a sophisticated and vibrant stage presence lights up the stage and breathes life into songs through well-honed and earnest storytelling. Together with her powerhouse quartet featuring Mina Yu on piano, Ben Charnley on drums and Adam Spiegl on bass, Dawn is excited to present 'Brazilian Dreams' at POME on Friday 10th of December.
Combining the irresistible and infamous romance of bossa nova lyrics and melodies over intoxicating Brazilian rhythms that are infused with intricate jazz arrangements, the night will showcase a specially selected collection of her favorite bossa nova and samba tunes by some of Brazil's most legendary artists such as Tom Jobim, Elis Regina, Astrid Gilberto, Sergio Mendes, Joao Gilberto, Djavan, Marcos Valle and more.
