The Golden Rail have been refining their own brand of pop noir in Melbourne for over 5 years building on classic 60's and 70's musical styles with flourishes of Scott Walker and Serge Gainsbourg around the edges.

With two albums already released here and through their Spanish label 'Pretty Olivia', the band are now busy working on their third, Covid-delayed collection for release later in 2021. Utilising the standard guitar, bass, drums pop lineup the band have since introduced acoustic bass, strings, brass and keyboards to their recorded sounds to explore the potential of what pop can be. Bringing their first live performance since 2019 to POME, The Golden Rail will scale back the instrumentation to allow subtle song elements to emerge and to suggest where others just might.
