About this experience
POME is excited to launch The Museum of Living Art! The night aims to showcase multiple performance art disciplines with a focus on sensual and erotic art delivered through burlesque, dance and cultural art forms, photography and multimedia, by artists of all genders and identifications.
The performers:
Gina Stirling: putting the 'G' in 'G Spot' and revealing herself as a political, radical, queer, self-loving act. Gina explores classic, neo and cabaret styles, infusing them into a sensual, lusty cocktail.
Gina has been performing internationally in Burlesque, cabaret and musical theatre for over a decade. Under her previous alter ego, Mimi, she achieved one of the highlights of her career by placing first in her category at The World Burlesque Games 2014 in London. In 2015, she decided to take a break to travel the world and find a place she could call home. This ended up being in Melbourne, Australia. In October 2019, Stirling made a comeback into the burlesque and musical theatre world which started with a season of Mamma Mia! the Musical at The National Theatre and then debuting as Gina at The Australian Burlesque Festival October 2020.
As well as being a performer, Gina is a freelance life model and a dance instructor at Bottoms Up! Burlesque and Pole, Brunswick. She is extremely passionate about body confidence, sexual empowerment and seeing her students flourish through dance. Feast your eyes on this femme fatale as she allures her audiences from far and wide.
Following in the slipper clad footsteps of Mamie Van Doran, Lili St Cyr and Jayne Mansfield this blonde bombshell will settle for nothing less than to bring you the most decadent stylings of classic burlesque. Encrusted in crystals, a smile that will break your heart and not a whole lot else, Valerie Va Va Valentine will bring a fine balance of charm, wit and desire that will make you say Va Va Voom!
In between performances we have Bebe paying tribute to the Great Ladies of Jazz. Eden Bebe is a 20-something Melbourne based performer returning to the stage and inviting you to take a stroll down memory lane, back to basics, of the music that influences the sounds of today. Drawing inspiration from songstresses such as Mae West, Billie Holiday and Etta James, Bebe brings a modern edge as she pays tribute to the original creators of that throwback sound. Bebe transports you through the inner workings of her mind setting the tone with her smokey-velvet vocals and Rat Pack style.
Free entry for a limited time only! Bookings absolutely essential to avoid missing out.
