When POME opened its doors to the public for the first time in October, three exhibitions were ready to view and provide a magnificent backdrop while we launched the POME Live Music Sessions and Burlesque Nights.
You would have seen the ‘Wurundjeri Wildflower Collection’ by Libby Kerr hanging in our rear gallery and ‘Landscapes’ by Bernzerk – the large scale prints in both the reception area and hanging adjacent to the courtyard door. These exhibitions have kept us company as POME has been planting seeds and growing into the multi-arts venue we set out to be, as well as the additions to the courtyard rear walls ‘Liquid Kelly 2.0’ by Ashley McNeil and ‘Orbit’ by Marianne Sebetti.
The good news is you can own a little piece of original POME with the official launch of the POME Art Store! The specimens included in Libby Kerr’s 'Wurundjeri Wildflower Collection' are just a few of the Indigenous plants from the local area of Richmond and the Yarra Valley. These artworks are limited to one per its kind, however, POME will print up to 50 A0 prints of the other artworks for sale. Each print has been assembled with utmost care by the freelance artists behind them, and each sale goes towards supporting their future work as well as the development of POME.
POME will be looking to expand the art for sale coming into 2021. Artists interested in partnering with us, we would love to hear from you! Email arts@bernzerk-pome.com.au with a CV and portfolio. POME is an equal opportunity venue and will emphasise artists and artisans who are innovate and underrepresented in their industries.
