The performers:
Zaphyer Enfield is a mix match smash of odds and ends, who knows what she’ll do next? Zaphyer has spent the entirety of her life performing in one way or another, from singing, screen acting, studying Musical Theatre at Ballarat Arts Academy, to even Cosplaying on TikTok for likes during Covid. Now she is ready to retake the stage and show the world her weird and wonderful self. She enjoys exploring a range of styles and songs that move you, from classic jazz to modern hits, even slipping in a musical theatre classic, all paired with her rich and powerful voice. Be ready for anything as Zaphyer takes you on a journey through laughter, passion and a few glasses of wine.
The Magnificence Trio is lead by Adam Rudegeair of PBS 106.7FM. Adam is a prolific composer, performer and educator based in Melbourne. His music is rooted in jazz and funk, with significant influences from the sounds of New Orleans, Minneapolis and avant-garde groove musicians such as Sun Ra and Medeski Martin & Wood. Adam's current projects include Lake Minnetonka, The Bowie Project and the ongoing collaboration with jazz legend Bob Sedergreen ‘Bourbon Street to Brunswick Street’. He enjoys performing tunes by his favourite jazz composer Thelonious Monk, as well as film and TV music, and songs by Prince and Bowie.
Adam’s discography includes the following: Transmogrify (2004), Bayou Tapestry (2011), Bourbon St to Brunswick St (2015), and The Bowie Project (2015), Melbourneapolis (by Lake Minnetonka) an original score to the Cinema Viscera feature film Trench, and The Bowie Project 2: It’s Always Time. In 2020, Adam completed four albums and the soundtrack to the local independent feature film Apparitions.
Guaranteed to dazzle with a conceptually driven performance that is an effortless blend of the sensual and the psychotic – she is, Azcadelia.
Velma Vouloir is an award-winning stripteaser and hostess of C*ntroversy – the dirty history podcast you’ve always wanted. Just when her parents had lost all hope for her using her fancy pants degree she decided to launch a podcast all about beautiful bad women and how they've changed the world. A passionate ally to sex workers, creators, pioneers in sexology & all women – Velma wants C*ntroversy to shine a bright light on the people, movements & moments in history that shaped and moulded contemporary discourse and attitudes towards sexuality in society. You can find her on stage, at the local library or at home with her two cats Jemeowma & Miss Moneypenny. She probably has hot sauce and gin stashed in her handbag at all three of those locations.
